The Purpose & Why We Choose to Invest in Children in Pakistan
Illiteracy is dominant than poverty, more dominant than a chronic physical disability, which affects human spirit as well as human potential and even far more dominant than an oppressive social system. No matter how naturally intelligent a person might be, the very descriptor “illiterate” indicates inferior mental capability. “The whole society could be impacted for the better if enough folks were given the skills of literacy.
Unfortunately, for a lot many people around the globe from developing world including Pakistan, attribute education as a controlled right. As large number of impoverished communities are denied innate right to literacy. Education falls far behind on priority list, among the marginalized groups who struggle to find basic food, shelter, and healthcare, compromising on schooling.
We continue to hear strong voices from Pakistan, that at the grassroots level in rural and semi-urban areas of Pakistan, children face lack of opportunities to build on skills, experience lack of motivation and self-confidence to upgrade their socio-economic status, while large number of out-of-school children emphasized that absence of an enabling environment and stark poverty, does not allow them to pursue education nor obtain decent employment.
Some of the key impediments are given below;

1. Invest in “Education”, new admissions and back-to-school (out-of-school).
2. Harness potential through “Arts and sports”.
3. Unlock socio-economic wellbeing through “Skills training opportunities for youth”.
